Meet the people
Chairman
Christos Lazaridis
He is the current Chairman at the Board of Directors. He has been connected with the organization since 2017, having served from a wide range of roles, as a volunteer, a communication officer, a project manager and a member at the Board of Directors. He has studied Communication and Mass Media (BA) and Contemporary Journalism (MA). His working field is in Communications, Strategy, Consultancy and Public Affairs. He has acquired significant experience in crisis management, having worked as a journalist and head of strategy and communications in the civil society sector for more than 5,5 years. He is also the Head of the Art and Action Network Football Club in Athens.
Vice President
Christianna Mourouzi
Christianna has been involved in humanitarian work, particularly on migration and refugee issues, since her university days. She has worked with national and international organizations on legal assistance, advocacy and research. From 2017 to 2021, she worked as a legal advisor and center manager at the Multifunctional Centre for Migrants and Refugees of the Hellenic Red Cross. Since 2021, she has been working with Médecins Sans Frontières as a Humanitarian Affairs Advisor, focusing on humanitarian analysis, policy, advocacy and community engagement. Christianna holds two Master’s degrees in Public International Law and Social Policy, and has completed DiploFoundation’s Humanitarian Diplomacy online course and the European University Institute’s (EUI) Migration Winter Academy.
Secretariat
Somaya Machlouta
Somaya has graduated with distinction from the Department of Sociology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and is completing her M.Sc. in Media and Refugee/Migration Flows, specializing in Cultural Mediation. She has developed expertise in policy research and discourse analysis through projects addressing refugee integration, gender equality, and climate change. Selected for the Stavros Niarchos Foundation internship program, she worked at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC). Currently, she is an intern at UNHCR’s Durable Solutions Unit. In parallel, she is conducting research at the National Centre for Social Research (EKKE). Committed to equality and human rights, she actively participates in initiatives promoting social inclusion through art, education, and cultural advocacy.
Treasurer
Nelly Theleriti
Nelly is a member at the Board of Directors. Her involvement with sports as well as her related academic studies helped her to learn how to set and achieve her goals. She has acquired significant experience by working in roles of high responsibility. She has high communication, organizational and managerial skills. At her current job, she coordinates scientific conferences and workshops, working with the Greek Association of Judges and Prosecutors. She speaks three languages, and she is a mother of a wonderful 9 year – old child that is full of energy, and inquiries about life. With Art and Action Network in Greece, Nelly feels connected with the three words and the notion of the organization, but most importantly, she feels connected with its people.

Marianthi Idowu
Marianthi is an experienced educator with over 10 years of work in early childhood education, combining a strong background in pedagogical theory with a deep commitment to social inclusion and community support. She has studied three specialties—General Nursery Assistant, Preschool Education, and Traumatology Nursing—bringing together care, creativity, and resilience in her daily work.
