Meet the people
Chairman
Christos Lazaridis
He is the current Chairman at the Board of Directors. He has been connected with the organization since 2017, having served from a wide range of roles, as a volunteer, a communication officer, a project manager and a member at the Board of Directors. He has studied Communication and Mass Media (BA) and Contemporary Journalism (MA). His working field is in Communications, Strategy, Consultancy and Public Affairs. He has acquired significant experience in crisis management, having worked as a journalist and head of strategy and communications in the civil society sector for more than 5,5 years. He is also the Head of the Art and Action Network Football Club in Athens.
Vice President
Eleni Bletsa
Eleni is the Vice – President at the Board of Directors. She is a multilingual lawyer and legal mediator with postgraduate studies in Public Law and Political Sciences. She is a certified coach on NLP approach (ABNLP), and a graduate of the Supreme School of Pedagogical and Technological Education in Volos. She has been actively involved in projects concerning vulnerable social groups, with a special focus on refugees, including her time at UNHCR Greece. She has worked as a Project Manager in research projects under the umbrella of Karditsa Development Agency, engaged in projects of a high social footprint. She is currently working as an executive of the Cooperative Bank of Karditsa, working in the sector of ESG and microfinance issues. She is very interested in non – violent communication, conflict management, social economy and entrepreneurship.
Secretariat
Spyros Economou
Spyros-Vlad Oikonomou is the Secretary at the Board of Directors. He currently serves as advocacy and communications officer at the Greek Council for Refugees (GCR), where he has been working since 2017, following an internship at UNHCR’s Protection Unit and voluntary work at grassroots level organisations in Greece. His core focus is on research and advocacy on matters regarding the rights of applicants and beneficiaries of international protection in Greece and the EU. He holds MAs from Universities in Greece and the UK.
Treasurer
Eirini – Vasileia Kouti
Graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Democritus University of Thrace, with an MSc in International and European Studies from the University of Piraeus, she now works as a Communication & Public Relations Consultant, in one of the leading Greek companies in the sector, in the field of Public Affairs & Political Communication. She is particularly concerned with Equality & Human Rights issues, participating in respective Committees & Pressure Groups.
Member
Nelly Theleriti
Nelly is a member at the Board of Directors. Her involvement with sports as well as her related academic studies helped her to learn how to set and achieve her goals. She has acquired significant experience by working in roles of high responsibility. She has high communication, organizational and managerial skills. At her current job, she coordinates scientific conferences and workshops, working with the Greek Association of Judges and Prosecutors. She speaks three languages, and she is a mother of a wonderful 9 year – old child that is full of energy, and inquiries about life. With Art and Action Network in Greece, Nelly feels connected with the three words and the notion of the organization, but most importantly, she feels connected with its people.
